War For Eternity

You will die. You will be judged. You were made for Heaven. How are you living? The War for Eternity confronts the truths that a distracted world would rather forget: Death, Judgment, Hell, and Heaven. Written especially for Catholic men, these thirty-six meditations call the reader to stop postponing repentance, break with sin, and live in the friendship of God. Drawing principally from St. Alphonsus Liguori’s Preparation for Death, Leo DeLcastle presents contemporary adaptations rooted in traditional Catholic spirituality, with Scripture from the Douay-Rheims Bible. Each meditation brings eternal truths into the decisions, temptations, and duties of daily life. These pages speak plainly about mortal sin, the danger of delay, and the account every soul must give. They also reveal the greatness of God’s mercy, the treasure of sanctifying grace, the strength found in prayer and Holy Communion, and the joy of everlasting life with God. Read slowly. Examine your conscience. Turn reflection into prayer and prayer into action. While you have breath, you have time to turn to God. Do not waste it. By Leo DeLcastle, founder of Men of Obedience.
