"People Make History, an Eyewitness Account of the Revolutionary Movement in the Philippines" is a day-by-day description of a foreigner’s trip in 2001, just after the fall of Estrada. This detailed narrative gives the reader a rare window into both the legal and underground movements during the Left’s high tide which ousted another corrupt president exploiting his people and land at the behest of the United States. From the struggles of workers to students and the urban poor to the people’s war in the countryside, Lina D. gives an unflinching and impassioned account of people fiercely engaged in changing the world.
