From Potential To Prosperity: Lyn Bayakly

A messy childhood meant I could be a victim or rise above. I am proud of the life I have created— happily married for 35 years, Mum to two gorgeous young women, mother-in-law to two awesome young men, and Nana to the cutest four-year-old on the planet! I spent 20 years working in school settings with every age, Kindy to Year 12. For the last eleven years, I have been a school chaplain, walking students, families, and staff members through a range of issues. I'm now an independent support worker, helping people to get the best out of their lives regardless of challenges. It's not easy to let someone else into your challenges, frustration, and pain. Often, I have had the same repeat conversations— same story, different face. There is power in hearing their story and learning from it. It's tough to do the hard yards on your own.
