KNEECAPS

'Today I will pull the zipper of my skin and stretch it over my hometown. Here time wears a straitjacket and my feet turn to stumps, rooting in this retired home.' - This is a poetry collection I have born from navigating through my late teens/ early twenties. It captures the struggle of fighting through the process of adulting while yearning not to lose sight of one's childhood. Changing places and people and myself has brought forth this very honest, very intimate piece of literature, which I have now chosen to publish for others to see and, perhaps, find themselves in parts of it.
