But the gift of a Leica camera from her parents, meant to soften the pain of this uprooting move, also opens up for her rich worlds of a career in photojournalism. As the Migliore family rebuild their home in Peron’s Argentina, Julietta, at age 24 narrates her memories of their difficult journey, describing the events that uncover the role of the Vatican in funding safe passage for the Nazi elite, and the central role their family plays in uncovering the mystery of hidden stolen jewels they are unwittingly manipulated into delivering to support the Nazi war criminals.
