The town of Carthage is not what it appears to be. To the tourists who pass by, it appears to be an idyllic community. However, it never remains peaceful for long. In book one of the series, Don’t Pay the Ferryman, a mysterious ferry owner comes to town, and shortly thereafter, a string of disappearances begin to occur. In the second novel, it seemed the town was becoming tranquil once again; unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Don’t Fear the Reaper picks up the story five years later with the town experiencing the threat of destructive fires in the community as well as the appearance of a Reaper-type individual. The third book of the series, Revenge of the Reaper, picks up where the original Reaper story left off. After discovering one the Reaper’s identity, a battle ensued atop the Buckley Building, which resulted in the villain falling to his demise. However, three days after his apparent death, his body disappears from the morgue and a ghostly Reaper has been spotted once again.
