Hellenism and Hebraism

ByMaria Bethany

Hellenism and Hebraism is a study of the spiritual and cultural development of Western tradition. While examining the rivalry between the Greco-Roman and Judeo-Christian worldviews, the work does not rigidly follow any particular philosophical or theological ideology of social behavior. Rather, it is an independent enterprise of digging up the past, cleaning up old pieces, and putting them together. The research leads to unexpected findings, as any successful archaeological undertaking would. The result is a step-by step documentation showing that previous generations rejected the better part of our Western culture. They recklessly discarded the most valuable treasures, and preserved only those items that are useless for building our future. It is time to realize that it is no longer expedient to cherish the outdated ideas that have led us to the brink of the collapse of our civilization. To avoid sinking into complete spiritual and cultural poverty, we must reclaim the better part of our great inheritance.
