Mandy Dandy's Spy Ring

This story is about the adventures of nine year old Mandy, her eleven year old brother, Jason, and his best friend, David. With summer vacation approaching, the three have plans, according to Mandy, to spy for fun. The boys play along with Mandy and right away they become interested in some unusual activity at the school playground. Before this can be resolved, Mandy's father interrupts their activities. He has a grant from a university to go to Mexico and Guatemala for a summer research project. He will take the family with him. This causes great distress for Jason until David is finally asked to join them. Their school discovery will have to wait until they return. The trip involves some interesting sites and facts about Mexico and Guatemala, but it also includes some shady activities in the world of archeology and artifact smuggling.
