Ed Harmon, private investigator working with the police, investigates the murder of a wealthy woman. Penny, his niece, helps. Penny is a great help as well as earning enough money to live in an apartment with Ginger, her closest friend.
This murder involves interviews with many suspects with some unsuspecting innocents which are truly misguided.
Finishing this investigation, the police chief calls Ed and Penny for another case involving a famous tabloid gossip columnist. They are to investigate those whom she has invited on the cruise to Hawaii. Penny is free on her spring break, and is thrilled to go on her first cruise. Ed is reluctant, but he doesn’t want to disappoint his niece.
The invited guests are all fearful of what this columnist will write about them. They’re each well known and all of them have something they would like kept secret. Murder happens! It, too, is misguided.
