A Widow's Desire

Ash-Lynn had been widowed for nearly six years, but she carried a secret about her marriage, it had been unconsumated. Desires burned within her for a man to love who would love her in return. A man who would be able to look upon her and not be turned away in disgust. When her husband died he had left her alone to fend for herself. She soon learned that merchants, craftsmen, and laborers did not want to take orders from a woman, even if she was a widow. She sought the services of an Estate Manager, but for some reason things were still not going as smoothly as they should. Improvements made upon her estate didn’t seen to work out as she had planned. Amongst the turmoil at home she receives a letter stating that her eldest brother was killed.
