The Coram Deo Secret

Coram Deo is a Latin phrase meaning “before the face of God.” Living before the face of God moment by moment was the way we were born again in Christ to live. The Coram Deo Secret shepherds readers into spacious places where we are even closer to God in our acts of daily living than when we are in a cathedral or prayer closet. The concepts in this 40-day devotional came after the author went through a 40-day fast that required her heart’s eyes to stay on Him nearly every moment in order to make it. With no bread to sustain and comfort her, He became her “Bread of life” like never before. If it was possible to have a heart wholly prepared and focused on Him even after the fast was over, she wanted like nothing else to find out how to do it. God soon revealed how to do this in one simple 2-word phrase: coram Deo.
