This book attempts to outline a method by which a company’s corporate culture can be more clearly described, with something approaching scientific rigor, in a manner that can be digested by many audiences. There are many psychometric tests for people; this book suggests we can have the same for a company.
Know the answer to questions such as:
How do people communicate within this company?
How are decisions made within this company?
Is this company more group- or individual- focused?
What’s it like to work at that company?
Would I fit into such a company? More specifically, would a person with my personality profile (psychometric type) fit into such a company?
How do I navigate within such a company and work more effectively?
Why don’t these two departments work well together? Does, for example, Sales have a different set of motivations or way of communicating than R&D?
Why has a merger not been as effective as we thought?
If we acquire the company, will its corporate culture be a match for ours?
