One cold, wet, dark evening last February, I was walking my rescue dog Sheppi, who would bark and lunge at joggers and other dogs. Sometimes these walks were hard work! To amuse myself I made up little rhymes and poems. Then I thought, “Why not write them down?” . . . So I did.
