Nevertheless Thou Mayest Choose

A Compendium for Spiritual Self-Defense

ByMichael Moreh Maskil

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
You are in a war you did not start, against an enemy you cannot see, and he has studied you for a long time. But he has rules he cannot break, and a Savior he cannot defeat. Nevertheless Thou Mayest Choose is a handbook of spiritual self-defense. Drawing on the LDS Standard Works (Canon) and the words of latter-day prophets, it lays out plainly how the adversary works: pride, flattery, deception, the lure of the world, the slow silencing of prayer and conscience, the favorite sin we keep in a summer cottage in Babylon. Then it shows exactly where his power stops, and how priesthood, prayer, the temple and the home become places he cannot enter. Later chapters take on the hardest ground: secret combinations, the desire to rule, religion turned against agency, the snares that catch young adults, and the long road of repentance back to the light. Every chapter ends with its opposite, the way of light the Lord has already opened. A short story of Abilene, a ministering angel who must watch and never compel, opens the book. Agency is the gift the adversary has always wanted to take. This book is about keeping it. Black & White Edition: every page is printed in black and grey. The Savior’s words and prophecies, shown in red in the full-color edition, appear in bold.
