A Rudy Palais Treasury: Volume 1 (PB)
Midcentury Comics #933-PB: One of The Top Golden Age Masters - An Amazing Album of Stories!
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
When you pick up a comic story drawn by Rudy Palais (1912-2004), you're guaranteed action; that's the hallmark of a Palais page – there will be action, even when most illustrators will struggle to give you something not static. For over a quarter of a century, Rudy Palais operated in every comic genre imaginable, and you would be hard-pressed to find a comic publisher for whom Palais didn't work. From his first published work (National Comics #11 – in this book!) well into the 1960s, Rudy Palais was a master of the comic page, though his work is not given the attention it deserves. His human forms are unique without being distorted, and his comic-book women are among the most attractive in the industry. Gwandanaland / Midcentury Comics is proud to bring a gigantic collection of his public domain works – which are many – starting with his earliest stories, where you can already see the polished style developing.
NOTE: The pages of some of these stories show the age and wear of old, scarce comics. We hope you will enjoy their imperfect authenticity.
