Although of course known as one of the masters of 20th Century comic book art, Jack Kirby a few times tried his hand at publishing comics, stating with Kirby Publishing in 1949. His first title was the one-shot DEAD END CRIME STORIES, and action-packed book that featured artwork by George Roussos, Bob Powell, Louis Ravielli and George Tuska (though it appears not Jack Kirby himself). Heading each page is the dire warning, “CRIME IF THE GAME OF FOOLS: DEATH IS THE SCOREKEEPER”!
