Laxdale Saga begins in Norway in the late ninth century as Ketill Flatnose and his children leave Norway to escape the tyranny of Harald Fairhair. The saga turns focus onto Ketill's daughter Unnr. It continues along her life and lineage down to her great-great-great grandson Kjartan. It continues with his tale of love turned to bitterness and betrayal.
