A Hole in the Middle

A Filipino family moves to the United States so their parents can pursue higher education. The three children go through individual transitions, becoming more American and losing parts of their Filipino identity. Before they return to the Philippines, John meets Delia, an older woman, and falls in love with her. The family loses sight of Alice. Sandra, a sensitive child with artistic talent, suffers on her own as the other members of the family focus on their individual battles.
