Medicinal Plants in RIWATCH

Research Institute of World’s Ancient Traditions Cultures and Heritage (RIWATCH), situated in North-eastern part of India, Arunachal Pradesh, harbours many verities of trees, herbs, shrubs, climbers, and orchids around the year. To document the traditional knowledge and to have a live repository, medicinal plant garden is established at RIWATCH, which is just ten-year-old. However, with the interest of local community, visitors, and volunteers, it has taken a shape over the period. The book, Medicinal plants in RIWATCH, provides information on importance of medicinal gardens, primary information on medicinal plants which are found in and around the campus. The book has beautiful plant pictures, vernacular, and botanical names, which helps the beginners to identify plants. The information provided assist the readers to associate the services provided by the plants, and plan to grow them around their home or institution, which will also enhance beauty of the place.
