Mongol Oral Narratives

Origins (of man, wind, Ursa Major, eclipses, deities, the horse-head fiddle); general narratives; monsters, ghosts, and demons; lamas, humor, the tricksters Shagder and Balgansang, the epic hero Geser and thirty fables fill the pages of this delightfully illustrated (by the Mongol artist Danzan) volume.
