Be Ye Holy is a Scripture-centered workbook and study of sanctification, holiness, and the Christian’s continuing relationship with God through Jesus Christ. What does it mean to be sanctified? Is sanctification something God does, something Christians pursue, or both? Throughout Scripture, God declares that He sanctifies His people while also calling them to sanctify themselves, pursue holiness, turn from sin, and live as people who belong to Him. Rather than reducing holiness to a list of rules or behaviors, Dr. Nathanael J. Lucas examines sanctification within the larger context of a growing relationship with God. Through fourteen biblical studies, readers will explore the sanctifying work of Jesus Christ, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the transforming power of God’s Word, the believer’s responsibility to respond to God, and the continuing process of becoming more like Christ. Each chapter combines biblical teaching with personal reflection questions designed to encourage readers to examine their own lives and respond intentionally to what God reveals through His Word. Be Ye Holy is written for individual Bible study, small groups, churches, ministry training, and Christians who desire a deeper understanding of sanctification and a life increasingly surrendered to God. Sanctification is not simply about what you leave behind. It is about who you belong to.
