Ms. Gardner was reared in Fairview, Wyoming, a small town in the beautiful expanse of land called "Star Valley", situated near the famed Jackson Hole and nestled at the foot of the magnificent Teton Range of the rugged Rocky Mountains. In 1880, Brigham Young dedicated the valley to settlement by Mormon pioneers coming to build new lives in the West. In l885 several polygamist families relocated in Star Valley in their attempts to escape imprisonment.
A Story Without an End is a reminiscence of the author's family life, beginning with her parents' 1913 wedding, followed by stories of the family’s lives in the ensuing years. Ms. Gardner, the youngest of six, recounts a series of poignant episodes of family life on the farm in Fairview. She speaks of the trials and hardships they endured and tells stories of the wonderful times spent by that amazing group of siblings and their loving, treasured parents. The photographs and recipes are a treasure!
