Native Bees is a vibrantly illustrated early reader's ecology book. This non-fiction story for children ages one to five displays hand painted renderings of wild bee species of an array of shapes and hues. The written narration both acts as a child’s introduction to color, and provide basic information about a variety of native bees. This book was made possible by a project grant from the Maine Arts Commission. A percentage of each book sold is donated to the Xerces Society providing resources for pollinator protection.
