Ryujin Norito: The Sacred Dragon Prayer — A Tracing Workbook (Trace 100)

Connect with Ryujin, the dragon deity, through a sacred Japanese Shinto prayer of gratitude and wishes. This quiet, meditative tracing workbook lets you trace the prayer one character at a time with a brush pen—no knowledge of Japanese or calligraphy needed. The dragon god is honored as a being who rules over water and the great currents of nature, gives birth to and nurtures all things, clears away impurity, and helps fortune begin to flow. Each line is shown in Japanese with a romanized pronunciation guide beneath it, so you can trace and even chant along, character by character. After each tracing, a facing page invites you to note what you felt. This edition lets you trace the prayer 100 times, building a calm daily practice in the spirit of meditation and copywork (shakyo). An English introduction explains the prayer and its meaning. Individual experiences may vary.
