Woshite Futomani Diagram: Sacred Script Tracing Sheet
Trace the Ancient Japanese Script of the Gods — 30 Tracings

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Futomani diagram is a sacred figure drawn in "Woshite," one of the oldest sacred Japanese scripts, said to be passed down in old texts such as the Hotsuma Tsutae. Arranged in concentric circles, all 48 sounds of the script form a mandala said to map the whole of the universe — with "A-U-Wa" at its center, the eight directions of "Tohokami Ehitame" around it, and the outer ring of thirty-two characters beyond.
This book lets you trace the Woshite Futomani diagram with a brush pen, one character at a time, from the center outward in a widening spiral. Simply follow the lightly printed lines; no skill or knowledge of the script is needed. As you trace, your breath settles and a busy mind grows quiet — a contemplative "drawing meditation."
It includes 30 tracing pages, along with a pronunciation guide showing how each character is read. A quiet daily practice said to bring purification and a turning toward good fortune.
A contemplative practice rooted in tradition; results are not guaranteed and experiences vary from person to person.
