Jenny’s behavior was becoming more daring and risky. She wanted to be with the handsome Nathaniel, and had her husband’s approval. But when Monica, Nathaniel’s ex-girlfriend entered the picture, there seemed to be something hidden at play. Monica led Mark across the lobby into an English-style pub. They sat down at a small booth in a secluded area. “I suppose you’re curious,” said Monica. “That’s putting it mildly,” Mark replied. “I understand you’re Nathaniel’s ex? Why did you drag me away from the dance floor? I should get back there to keep an eye on Jenny.” “Just relax for a minute. This is part of the experience. It makes the whole thing more exciting, wouldn’t you say?” “What the hell are you talking about?” “Oh come on, Mark. You must know what this arrangement is about.
