A Scriptural Study Guide

Change the Mind, Change the Man: A Scriptural Study Guide is the ten-week companion to the book of the same name — a Scripture-saturated walkthrough designed for groups who want to do more than read. The book points to where addiction is exposed and answered in the Bible. The guide hands the reader the open Bible and asks the questions the text itself is asking. Every week begins with Scripture, every discussion ends in Scripture, and the questions are written so the answers do not come from the leader's opinion or the group's experience — they come from the page. What makes this guide different is that it runs on two tracks at once. Track A is for the person in the struggle: questions that ask honest, sometimes hard things about temptation, repentance, the company a man keeps, and the renewing of the mind. Track B is for the family carrying the weight: questions about boundaries, hope, exhaustion, prayer, and what Scripture actually says to a parent, spouse, or sibling watching someone they love wrestle with addiction. Both tracks meet in the same room every week, around the same biblical text — because both audiences are living inside the same story, and they belong in the same conversation. Designed for prison ministries, reentry programs, recovery houses, congregational Bible classes, and family devotional time, this guide assumes nothing except that the reader is willing to open the text and stay in it. No leader's manual is required. No prior Bible knowledge is assumed. The only tools needed are a Bible, the book, and the willingness to let Scripture answer. Open the Bible. Stay in it. The Word will do what no curriculum can.
