Named in honor of the squiggly line invented by The New Yorker's first Art Director, Rea Irvin, The Wavy Rule is a daily comic by Pollux that touches upon all things squiggly: politics, typography, popular culture, literary culture, and the world. The Wavy Rule is a world unto itself, and the passport to it is available at all times at the New Yorker-centric website founded by Emily Gordon and edited by Martin Schneider: Emdashes (www.emdashes.com). Within these pages is the first year of The Wavy Rule, which debuted on June 26, 2008, and continues to tickle and tackle.
