‘Difference’ There are many causes behind a mental health diagnosis, and each person’s experience can be very different. This book is not a self-help guide, but in writing from her experience of bipolar, Paula hopes to provide greater understanding/insight into the extreme mood swings. The difficulties and problems they pose in managing and negotiating one’s life – each day – sometimes hour to hour. This book also includes a poem or two relating to the care of a mother with Alzheimer’s. Paula wants to dispel the stigma around MH. Emotions and feelings will be recognised by many in the writings. Dark/Light including a smattering of humour, a necessity for survival. The more horrendous memories of hospitalisation too painful to express. The ability to laugh at oneself eases the pain.
