Mechanized and Armoured Formations 1929

Any serious book on the development of armour and armoured warfare between the First and Second World Wars will reference the British Army's first manual on the subject: Mechanized and Armoured Formations, 1929. For those unable to access the copies held by the Imperial War Museum and the Australian War Memorial, the 'Purple Primer' is now available as a reprint (as is its follow-up: Modern Formations 1931)
