Seasonal Snack Fest

An instructional, step-by-step, season themed, healthy snack book for kids and made by middle school students at The Conservatory School in North Palm Beach, Florida. The students worked for three months putting together a healthy, simple, and kid friendly book for their Project Based Learning elective class. The theme for their project was "Democracy is a Verb" and their project goal was to bring attention to the fact that actions speak louder than words. After much research and many investigations about children's snack availability, the students began to notice a trend with the content of sugar. It was in everything! They were confused, angry, and wanted to make a difference. The team wanted to empower children to make better food choices and to know they do have a voice, even as kids!
