This is the story of “Chica,” the white talking female seal from Lemuria who falls in love with a Walrus. While enjoying their romance, a battle breaks out in Lemuria, making her run for her life. In her escape from the invaders, she is accidentally sucked into a vortex that will take her into the world inside the iced wall. Chica washes ashore a fishermen town called Paracas in Peru, where she meets “The Monster Kid” and “Grandpa,” becoming the best of friends. Together they will endure lots of adventures. Chica and “The Monster Kid” share a similar life; Chica lost her people and her land, and “The Monster Kid” lost his parents. After 11 months in Paracas, Chica gives birth to Paulina, her daughter, and she decides it’s time to go back to Lemuria. Chica becomes “The Mother Foca” (“The Mother Seal” in Spanish) as “The Monster Kid” calls her. Will Chica be able to figure out how to come back to Lemuria? Will “The Monster Kid” and “Grandpa” be able to help Chica come back to Lemuria? This tale is about troubles and overcoming them, about friendship and family, about doing the best you can, about learning what the world you are living in is like.
