Semblance of Justice

After losing his younger brother and both parents before reaching his mid-teens, Carl finds distraction for his grief through association with a local hard man and soon becomes indoctrinated into petty crime. He was corrupted at an early age by Brett’s perverse set of values and consequently turned his back on his moral convictions in favour of the dubious structure and purpose now offered by his nihilistic friend. Through their shared misfortunes in early life, Sarah and Carl begin to make a life for themselves until a chance event throws their whole life into turmoil and brings Carl reluctantly to his senses. There is however a high price to pay for their defection and they soon find themselves embroiled in a situation that calls for extreme and uncharacteristic action.
