It’s seven years since Del and Julie started their love affair. Julie has her own business as an Estate Agent and is unmarried. He’s a detective with the Police force and has recently been promoted to the position of a Sergeant. He’s married to Jo, who is a friend of Julie’s. They have two teenage sons, James and Toby. When the affair is discovered he’s thrown out of the house and life as he’d known it is finished. His lover is raped after a night out and even that relationship ends in chaotic circumstances. Left with nothing, he slips into depression and alcohol. A set of bazar circumstances follow and he ends up in prison.
