Conceived by Geoffrey de Havilland in the 1920s Moths was a successful venture by the de Havilland Company into the light plane market that gave rise to a whole series of successful airplanes many sold to air forces the RAF RN and served throughout WW II as the RAF's basic trainer. Even now in the new millennium many Moths are still flying regularly in the UK in the hands of Moth enthusiasts with an annual meet and fly in at the Duke of Bedford's estate. The Moths A History
