Good Cop, Dead Cop

Detective Lieutenant Jake Reed runs Hollywood Detectives. During the investigation of a brutal rape and murder he is contacted by an old partner who he assumed had died of alcoholism years before. Mitch Thacker, disgraced former cop, merely wanted to make amends to his former partner however the renewed friendship leads to the two teaming up in the investigation of the death of a cop, corruption at the highest levels of the department and plot to get rid of Jake. Organized crime and crooked cops make for a complex plot full of twists and turns while providing an inside look at the operations of the L.A.P.D. from one whose been there.
