The Formentera Guide

When we visited the island in 2009, Formentera was just a footnote in guide books to Ibiza. We decided to set that straight, and spent months on the island cycling and walking over 20 kilometers a day to explore all its beaches, trails and sights. With the help of the Tourist Board of Formentera and friendly locals we were able to find the hidden coves and beaches, get the secrets to booking accommodation during peak season, and discover the best restaurants. This insider’s guide covers everything that you would expect of a typical guide book: places of interest, maps, nature, activities, history etc. Throughout there is also an emphasis on making it practical. For example, in reviewing 20 cycling paths we haven’t just provided a map, but have also included photos of the entrances to the trails so that you won’t spend your time getting lost. And when it comes to the beaches we have provided plenty of photos.
