Beyond three to seven decades, most of the world’s largest economies will be those that are emerging today with the majority emerging from Asia and Africa developing countries, surpassing the current behemoths such as the United States, Russia, Japan and Germany. The author synopsizes his earlier books and clarifies upfront exactly how the future of the continents will unfold. In order to have an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon in this book, you have to also read the book the author wrote in the second quarter of 2022: “The World Beyond Tomorrow.” Succinctly, big economic changes are happening right in front of our eyes but we are not noticing it. China already has the largest economy in the world: India in a few decades will be the fastest growing economy in the world and is projected to be the world’s second largest economy: Nigeria even though is faced with corruption, is poised to grow beyond the next three decades and this may even exceed the expectation because of its citizens entrepreneurial attitude that keeps pushing the country forward. The present super powers like the United States, Japan, Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom will not be a superpower in the future because they have had too many failures and are now moving towards isolationism. Furthermore, all superpowers in recent times are hedging their bets in different ways but beyond 2050, the main issue will not be economical or military power but finite resources access with control over it. For example, if the United States maintains its absolute military dominance and lacks a particular vital resource for energy, food or water, they will inevitably have to give in to what the other country wants and take it at gunpoint to whoever has it. The truth is beyond centennial time, the future world powerhouse will be “Economic Superpowers” with national economies that have strong trade relations around the world with great economic power, influence and abundant resources. Surprisingly over 40 countries have joined the queue and responded to De-Dollarzation. Some African countries have also concluded a successful pilot scheme on the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS). In addition, the East African Monetary Union (EAMU) also laid groundwork for a monetary union that will allow the East African Countries (EAC) Partner States to progressively converge their currencies into a single currency. The air is becoming thin!
