Jane Reith - The Pit and the Brexit Pendulum

A modern re-working of the Edgar Allan Poe short-story - The Pit and the Pendulum - for the British Brexit crisis. Journalist Jane Reith is arrested for tweeting 'the policing papers' - leaked documents from the Home Office detailing police-crime authorized by the Home Secretary. She faces an inquisition of Home Office Star Chamber Commissioners; without traditional legal safeguards guaranteed by the European Court of Human Rights, against the ingenious technological deviance of the state using perverted science that Churchill and Orwell prophesied.
