Bunkhouse Poetics is two things--20 poetic statements regarding the writing of verse, each followed by 4 poems that serve as examples of the principles set forth in the statements. The poems also cover approximately 70 years of the author's life, from around 1956 to the present (2026), each group of 4 covering about 3.5 years. Individual poems within the sets are meant to illustrate all of the poetic statement poems as a whole.
