Rachel is an avid plantsperson and writer who lives in County Wexford, Ireland. Her garden, Douentza, boasts sweeping herbaceous borders, unusual plants and a large glasshouse of rare and ornamental displays. She also grows houseplants and orchids, specialising in cattleyas. Rachel has been a monthly contributor to the Irish Garden magazine for over 10 years and published her first book in 2015, Journal of an Irish Garden. Besides lecturing, writing and opening her garden, Rachel runs a successful YouTube channel, Gardening at Douentza, where she publishes educational and specialist plant videos.
