A middle school fairy named Lilac Snapdragon thinks something is up when a plain looking new girl comes. Lilac is suspicious of Nellie. From rolling in shape shifter's class, to cell phones in the bathroom, Lilac thinks this is evidence that Nellie is not your average fairy. Lilac forgets for a moment about her suspicions of Nellie, and just has fun with her. From shape shifter's class to Nellie’s party, Lilac knows she has a lot to look forward to. At Nellie’s party, strange things happen. Nellie whimpering at the sky, looking so sad, and her face when she sees what Lilac is wearing. After a travel around the universe, and a wonderful mermaid, Lilac decides she has to find out about Nellie. She asks Nellie, finally, and she is told the most magnificent tale. Now, Lilac finds that she must rescue Nellie from a creature so much different than their kind. You will love the satisfying, yet funny ending.
