The criminals can never know where he is ….. because they can never be sure WHO he is! Peter Stockbridge --- aka THE CHAMELEON --- doesn't have any super powers, but he has an abundance of courage, wits, not a small amount of money, and the ability to take on virtually any disguise. Whether he is fighting crime on the streets, working with the Secret Service during World War Two, or battling against strange villains, THE CHAMELEON is always where the action is! His long run in Target Comics (1940-1949) cements him as the first and the best Golden Age daring doppleganger! THIS VOLUME COLLECTS HIS ADVENTURES FROM NOVELTY PRESS TARGET COMICS VOLUME 1 #6 THROUGH VOLUME 3 #5. This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are over eighty years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents. The stories here were created in a less enlightened time and there are some images that may offend modern readers.
