CHALLENGE OF THE UNKNOWN #6 was published by Ace Magazines, Inc. in 1950. It is a terrifying hodgepodge of great art and stories. The contents of the issue are The High Priestess of the Snake People with art by Frank Giusto, The Ghost in the Portrait drawn by Ken Rice, Villa of the Vampire by Lin Streeter and No Grave Can Hold Him, plus two True Tales of the Supernatural. That’s a lot of great horror compressed into 36 pages. Have you ever seen or heard about a particular comic, but were disappointed knowing that, since there was only one issue of the title, it would never be reprinted? Well, Retro Comic Reprints One Shot Wonders are here to help! The mission of RCR One Shot Wonders is to make individual public domain comic books, whose titles didn’t last long enough to be collected as series, accessible in print again. You are welcome to send me suggestions for public domain comics that only lasted a single issue. The best way to have your title added to the list is to email me at [email protected] or send me an IM over Messenger.
