THE YARDBIRDS was a one shot comic published by Ziff-Davis in the Summer of 1952. Much like Beetle Bailey and Sad Sack, THE YARDBIRDS contains humorous stories about soldiers in the Army. The highlight of the book are the stories illustrated by Dan DeCarlo along with one page gags by Vic Martin. Have you ever seen or heard about a particular comic, but were disappointed knowing that, since there was only one issue of the title, it would never be reprinted? Well, Retro Comic Reprints One Shot Wonders are here to help! The mission of RCR One Shot Wonders is to make individual public domain comic books, whose titles didn’t last long enough to be collected as series, accessible in print again. You are welcome to send me suggestions for public domain comics that only lasted a single issue. The best way to have your title added to the list is to email me at [email protected].
