Where Religion Meets Omnitheism |Focused on Mormon Christianity
As discussed in #9 of The Statutes of the Divinely Realized, within The Ten Dimensions of Reality, Omnitheism recognizes that all religions can contain valid revelation, expressed through different combinations of dimensional experience. Why They Are Right explores how this might be possible—not by declaring every religion identical, but by looking beneath the words and asking what genuine spiritual experience may have inspired them.
This volume begins close to home.
I was raised within Mormon Christianity, so this is not a religion I first encountered through books or outside observation. Its teachings helped form my earliest understanding of God, Christ, revelation, prayer, scripture, eternal life, temples, family, priesthood, and our purpose for being here.
Over time, many of those teachings also became questions.
Rather than simply accepting them or rejecting them, I became interested in something much more fascinating: what if there is a real experience behind them?
Why They Are Right is not an attempt to defend Mormonism, criticize it, or reshape it until it becomes Omnitheism. We will first look at what Mormon Christians actually teach, why those teachings are meaningful, and what kinds of spiritual experiences may have given rise to them.
Then we will explore where we meet.
Ideas such as premortal existence, revelation, eternal progression, exaltation, resurrection, temples, eternal families, and continuing consciousness become especially interesting when viewed through a broader understanding of dimensional experience.
Perhaps religions are not always describing different realities.
Perhaps they are describing different experiences of a Reality too expansive for any single language, doctrine, or tradition to completely contain.
That possibility is where our journey begins.
And it is where we begin to discover why they are right.
