The Bronte sisters Charlotte,, Emily, and Anne have the fame but Father was no slouch either. The Reverend Patrick Bronte an Irish Anglican curate and writer spent most of his adult life in England In 1810 he published his first poem Winter Evening Thoughts in a local newspaper, followed in 1811 by a collection of moral verse, Cottage Poems. These poems show that he was a man of no mean talents himself. It can easily be seen who inspired the Bronte sisters.
