Reading Music - An Introduction To Pitch Notation aims to make learning and reading the notation of pitch easy! It introduces the concepts and logic of stave notation and the mental, visual and physical connections to pitch and the keyboard layout. Students will: overcome the ever persistent initial stumbling blocks of not being able to make sense of the stave and not being able to recognise notes on the stave, be able to sight read more efficiently and fluently and greatly accelerate their progress especially in the first year or two of learning. Concepts are clearly explained, instilled, and consolidated using: a colour scale of notes enabling colour association to help with learning, large colourful bright images and diagrams, easy to remember rhymes and words, key points at the end of each section, exercises to help instil and reinforce new concepts learnt with hints and tips which gradually fade as students move through exercises and hints and tips which can be zoomed up and down.
