Beyond The Mountains When Chance Meets Preparation The novel focuses on the psychological and moral growth of its main character Manu, the growing up of a youth who looks for answers to his questions through different experiences. Manu is a fun-loving and alcoholic youth from the city. His father was getting tired of Manu's freeloader persona. After a bad argument erupts between Manu and Tiger one night in the city. Tiger turns up dead. Manu may be viewed as the prime suspect. While the forces summon Tarique to go looking for the killer, Manu is pushed to run away from a possible trial for murder. Manu travels beyond the mountains to the ancient village of Indragiri that follow traditional rituals and culture. But would this solution serve as a wake-up call for Manu?. While at Indragiri everything that he knew about life is about to change, as he soon realizes there are more obstacles and more danger to overcome.
