(Co)Respondence 2020

(Co)Respondence was a 2020 arts project responding to the Covid 19 crisis. A series of blank pre-stamped postcards were sent to various corners of the UK. These cards invited their recipients to create something, to fill this blank space with something new, borrowed, or recycled. From a position of sitting still in one’s own domestic space, the postcards could take something of the contributor's experience, their life, out into the world where it might connect with others. The varied, revealing and honest responses contained in the following pages become a testament to our capacity to connect, often in very personal, bold and even brave ways; it is a tribute to the artistic and creative approaches we employ in communicating some of the deeper or more complex parts of our states of mind. The profits from the sale of this Ebook will be donated to CALM, a mental health charity whose work has become increasingly important in times of social separation.
